After getting graduated in both classical and jazz at the Milan conservatory, in the last 14 years his professional pursuit has led him to master many genres such as classical, jazz, afro-beat, balkan, Klezmer, pop and contemporary. He has collaborated and recorded with prominent bands and musicians on the Italian scene with which he has performed in various festivals and clubs all over Italy and beyond . A beautiful sound together with an excellent technique refined over years of experience make Simone Maggi a fine multifaceted trumpet player.
In 2011 he started teaching trumpet in many civic schools and building his own musical projects for primary school. Shortly after he discovered E. Gordon's Music Learning Theory which is a comprehensive approach for teaching audiation : Gordon’s term for the ability to think music in the mind with understanding. After obtaining a master's degree he started teaching according to the M.L.T. to children from 0 to 6 years old. After gaining experience in various institutes, in 2019 he became a music teacher at the European School in Milan, until 2023 when he moved to Berlin. The final stop on this journey led to the creation of MindfulMusic in Berlin, a music education project for those seeking a natural, immersive way to experience sound and self through music, now available in LUCCA (Italy)
